Every research submission is read by an editor for scope and completeness and then sent to at least two independent reviewers. Review is double-blind: reviewers do not see who the authors are, and authors do not see who the reviewers are. A reviewer has one week to accept or decline the invitation and three weeks to return the report; the first decision normally reaches the author within four to six weeks of submission. Reviewers advise, the handling editor decides, and the Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the final decision.
